Remington College is once again offering free salon services through its cosmetology program, this time with the intention of honoring veterans and helping stock local pantries.
Veterans Day is November 11, but during the entire month, veterans can take advantage of a free service at the Cleveland campus salon. Services include haircuts, shampoo and set thermal styles, makeup applications or facials.
“It’s one way we can express our gratitude for service,” said Campus President Terhan Freeman in a statement.
Remington is also working to help stock local pantries in time for the holiday season. Anyone who brings a can of food or other non-perishable food item to the salon can receive a free haircut, manicure or pedicure.
The promotions run during the month of November. To schedule an appointment, call The Salon at Remington (14801 Broadway Ave., Cleveland) at 216-584-2490. Walk-ins are also welcome. The salon is open Monday-Friday 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 6:30-8:00 p.m. (appointments only); Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. (appointments only).
