Cleveland native launches beauty line

Pause Well-Aging Cleveland

Pause Well-Aging is a new line of products developed in response to its founder's first hot flash.

Cleveland-born Rochelle Weitzner found a dearth of resources available to her as she entered menopause, so she decided to create the products she wanted herself - and Pause was born.

Weitzner unveiled her line to a crowd of local beauty product enthusiasts at The Wine Spot in Cleveland Heights in August.

"The reality is, we're the ones with all the money, and we're the ones that want the products that work," she told the group. "I wanted products that were going to work for me, so I said, 'I'm going to create them myself.'"

Well-versed in the beauty world, Weitzner was CEO of Erno Laszlo and CFO at Laura Mercier Cosmetics and RéVive Skincare prior to launching Pause.

At the event, Weitzner introduced three products in the Pause line:

  • Collagen Boosting Moisturizer: Hydrates and moisturizes to help to spark collagen production, with a focus on increasing skin density and improving elasticity.
  • Hot Flash Cooling Mist: Provides instant relief from the discomfort of hot flashes by creating the sensation of lowering the body’s surface temperature, cooling and calming skin, reducing redness and evaporating sweat.
  • Fascia Stimulating Tool: Engineered to stimulate fibroblasts—collagen-producing cells within the fascia connective tissue. ("It's beautiful but it's not a piece of art," Weitzner said of the tool. "It is actually an FDA-registered Class 1 medical device.")

Pause is the first-of-its-kind, science-based skincare line for women going through the three stages of menopause, and is on a mission to stop the menopause stigma. Learn more about the line at pausewellaging.com
