On September 24, Beachwood Place hosted its first Fashion Face-Off Competition. Five local fashion designers worked tirelessly at stations set up in the mall to design and construct outfits inspired by a decade that had been assigned to them in advance.
Facing off in the competition were Shanetta Dorsey Trundle, Desiree Rodgers, Bethany Adjekota, Candence Caprice and Jasmine Williams.
After nearly six hours of hard work, the designers sent their pieces down the runway to be reviewed by a trio of judges.
In the end, Williams, founder of Intrendzick Couture LLC, was named the winner with her 1950s-inspired black-and-white look. She won a $500 gift card, and her winning design will be displayed in Beachwood Place.
The Fashion Face-Off was part of Beachwood Place's Decades of Beauty event, which also featured a VIP fashion show and meet-and-greet with local Project Runway alum Valerie Mayen, and benefited the Cleveland Clinic.
