Ursuline holds annual student showcase

Ursuline Innovations '17 fashion show, Cleveland, Ohio

Innovations '17 was held on April 30 at Ursuline College. The annual event showcases the work of students in the college's fashion design and merchandising courses.

This year's guest commentator was Ursuline alumna Tiffany Mushrush Mentzer. "I'm constantly thrilled to see fashion and innovative design play a role in Northeast Ohio and on a global stage," she said during her opening comments.

The styles sent down the runway included a collection of jumpsuits from Ursuline's Historic Costume Collection, outfits accessorized with vinyl records and a print-centric collection.

Student Anna Schumm presented her collection, which was created using the college's new 3-D printer. Hanna Barucky showed the costumes she designed for the First Baptist Cleveland production of Beauty and The Beast. Closing the show was Tiffany Harris, with her senior fashion studio collection "Zig Zag."

The event was produced by adjunct faculty Anne-Marie Gurko's fashion show production class.
