The 9th Annual Rock the Runway event was held on March 9 at Kent State University. Twenty-six student designers sent their designs down the runway, all with a "Hip Hop House Party" theme.
Ginette Norvelus and Michelle Milfort won the Judges' Choice and Audience Choice awards for their line Unashamed. They received a $500 gift card for Mood Fabrics and will be guests of DJ Bandcamp on BET's 106 & Park.
The judges for the event were Kori C. Fields, stylist and fashion blogger, Dave Tolliver, platinum-recording R&B artist, DJ Bandcamp, DJ on the leading entertainment network, BET, and Bijou Star, celebrity DJ and journalist.
