The Banyan Tree Spring 2012 Fashion Show

The trendy area of Tremont in Cleveland is quite possibly the closest resemblance to a New York City neighborhood that a Northeast Ohioan can experience close to home. This is due in no small part to the delicious restaurants, stylish people and very chic, very fashionable retail boutiques like the Banyan Tree that have become Tremont mainstays.

On Friday, May 16, 2012, Banyan Tree hosted its annual Spring Fashion Show. On the beautiful sunny evening around 6 p.m., fashion's elite started flooding in through the doors of the vibrant boutique, anxiously seeking this year's Figwood spring and summer trends.

As the guests perused the store, taking in the fashions of this year's collections, they were also treated to gourmet hor d'ourves and spirits catered by Fahrenheit.

As the store quickly filled with perfectly-styled guests, the first model strutted the catwalk into the room and was quickly followed by two more lovely models.

In traditional Banyan Tree fashion, the models stood in the window for a short period, allowing all to see and camera lights to flash. Once they stepped down from the platform, they walked amongst the crowd, allowing the guests to get up-close views of the garments and accessories.

Every model's outfit was perfectly styled and eye-catching. Seven different collections were shown that night, with a break in between each. These short breaks were opportune times for guests to try on and purchase the looks they had just seen. It also allowed the crowd time to interact with the models, ask questions and actively participate in the event.

When the evening of fashion started to come to a close and the models were showing their final looks, the energy in the room was still high. Guests continued shopping and enjoying the decadent food and wine, while laughter and excited chatter filled the air.

The Banyan Tree Spring Fashion Show was once again a huge success. Every year the show continues to grow and become more spectacular, and Iʼm sure everyone will be anxiously awaiting next year's festivities. The Figwood line as always, was beautiful, chic and a definite must-have for all fashionistas' closets. If you havenʼt had the chance to visit the Banyan Tree, I would highly recommend it. The fashions and accessories at the boutique
are wonderful, and it is extremely hard to leave there empty-handed.
